A record car count, many personal bests, and beautiful weather was all a part of the 14th annual Street Car Showdown this past Memorial Day weekend here at BIR. This is the first of the three race Muscle Car Series and the action was hot on the drag strip as over 440 cars competed for season points and payouts in the heads up “Fast Seven” classes of the 1/8th mile Outlaw Pro Mod, Lakeside Cabinets & Woodworking – Outlaw, Zack Novak Construction Inc. – OS660, Norm’s Tire Sales – LS660, Everything Automotive – King Street, Holmberg Motorsports - -Real Street Unlimited, and Real Street Natural.
In addition to the heads up racing there was bracket racing action in SE-1, SE-2, SE-3, Truck Eliminator, and Manual Transmission. For those who prefer a .400 pro tree and not having to pick a dial; The Index Classes ran and the 10 class winners then raced off to be the winner of the ICE Cube. It was a great weekend of friends, families, and fun for the fans that attended.
